Between Colors & Ornaments Collection / Coleção Entre Cores & Ornamentos

Collection Developed during the Postgraduate course in Print Design and Innovation, the "Between colors & Ornaments" collection is a tribute to the vibrant fusion between the Fauvist movement and the artisanal richness of William Morris' Arts and Crafts. A collection of prints that celebrates the joy of intense colors and the beauty of natural forms, uniting the radical energy of the early avant-garde with the lasting legacy of artisanal design. Inspired by Fauvism, the artistic movement that took color into new territory, challenging conventions and creating bold contrasts.
The collection explores an unexpected and strong color palette. The prints distance themselves from reality, celebrating an intense and exuberant nature, in saturated tones of orange, blues, greens, red and a touch of pink, which capture the energy and pure emotion of Fauvist painting. At the same time, the collection brings the timeless spirit of Arts and Crafts, with its natural and organic shapes. Floral elements, ornaments and foliage inspired by nature come to life in prints designed to capture Morris's aesthetic.
This collection shows that it is possible to explore the duality between Arts & Crafts and Fauvism, combining structure and expression, tradition and boldness, creating prints that balance the rigor of artisanal design with the spontaneity of intuitive painting.

The prints were made manually in Dry Pastel Chalk, finished and rapported in Photoshop.


Coleção Desenvolvida durante o curso de Pós-Graduação em Design de Estamparia e Inovação,a coleção "Entre cores & Ornamentos" é um tributo à fusão vibrante entre o movimento Fauvista e a riqueza artesanal do Arts and Crafts de William Morris. Uma coleção de estampas que celebra a alegria das cores intensas e a beleza das formas naturais, unindo a energia radical das primeiras vanguardas com o legado duradouro do design artesanal. Inspirada pelo Fauvismo, o movimento artístico que levou as cores a um novo território, desafiando convenções e criando contrastes audaciosos.
A coleção explora uma paleta de cores inesperada e forte. As estampas se distanciam da realidade, celebrando uma natureza intensa e exuberante, em tons saturados de laranja, azuis, verdes, vermelho e um toque de rosa, que capturam a energia e a emoção pura da pintura Fauvista. Ao mesmo tempo, a coleção traz o espírito atemporal do Arts and Crafts, com suas formas naturais e orgânicas. Elementos florais, ornamentos, folhagens inspirados na natureza ganham vida em estampas feitas para resgatar a estética de Morris.
Esta coleção mostra que é possível explorar a dualidade entre o Arts & Crafts e o Fauvismo, combinando estrutura e expressão, tradição e ousadia, criando estampas que equilibram o rigor do design artesanal com a espontaneidade da pintura intuitiva.

As estampas foram feitas manualmente em Giz Pastel Seco, finalizadas e rapportadas no Photoshop.
